What is Positively In Sync?
Positively In Sync is an educational and support program for HIV positive people and friends of positive people. Through educational forums and social activities, Positively In Sync provides a way for HIV positive people to stay connected.
Educational Forums are offered almost every month and focused on a particular subject of interest to HIV positive people. Topics include:
- HIV medications and their half lives
- HIV and Diabetes
- Medications and side effects
- Nutrition
- And many more!
Social activities range from hikes in the summer to dinner and coffee with friends at Spice of Life. Check out our Events Calendar for a full list of current activities.
Support programs are offered once a quarter and include meeting nights for all members. This is a time of conversation and fellowship as we share our struggles, successes, and joys. Contact us for meeting dates and times so you can join us!
Who’s Involved with Leading Positively In Sync?
The ministry is led by Co-Moderators, Joshua Cleveland and Robert Howard. Both have been heavily involved with the Southern Colorado AIDS Project and other local community activities.
Juan Manuel leads our Saturday Yoga classes and other special yoga activities as needed.
We are always looking for others who are interested in helping to make this ministry great!
What’s Happening in Positively In Sync?
Currently, Positively In Sync is offering FREE Yoga classes every Saturday from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Thanks to a grant from Give Back Yoga, we are able to offer yoga mats and bolsters to those who attend.
Positively In Sync holds program classes and workshops that cover a broad range of topics. Two examples are our one night workshops like the “Medications & Side Effects, How to Deal,” which was presented by GILEAD Pharmaceuticals, and our 6-week Country Dance Lessons, which were a hoot!
