Give Me Open Hands & Open Doors

What does it mean to open our hands and the doors of our churches and our hearts to what God will do in our midst through the presence of the poor and outcast?

Open Hand

We continue our journey through Matthew West’s inspirational song this Sunday, November 6.  We pray to be truly opened in ways we have never imagined. What does it mean to open our hands and the doors of our churches and our hearts to what God will do in our midst through the presence of the poor and outcast? As our inspirational song says, “my own little world is not about me.” Join us Sunday at 10 am as we explore these questions:

What are we doing as a church that answers the call of God to create a better world?

What are we doing personally that answers the call of God to create a better world?

Outside My Own Little World

It seems the world these days teeters between those who seek to protect “their own” and those who dare to declare that all are worthy of compassion and care. Years ago, Matthew West wrote a song called “My Own Little World” (check out the video below). It resonates perhaps even more today than when he wrote it as an anthem of encouragement to get out of ourselves and our “own little world.” In this series, we will remember why we are a Body together–being the hands and feet of Christ in a frightened and hurting world. We will focus not just on maintaining the church, but why it is that the church exists at all. We will reaffirm our purpose in the world and who we are together.

Join us on Sundays between October 9 & November 20 at 10 am!
