God Bless Us–Every One:
The Redemption of Scrooge

An Advent/Christmas series based on Dicken’s A Christmas Carol
and Matt Rawle’s book, The Redemption of Scrooge

This Advent and Christmas series will take a look at our how living in God’s economy of grace and justice is the antithesis of the life-threatening addiction to money, success, exclusion and looking out for ourselves. The chimes of the clock-tower bells in Dicken’s classic “A Christmas Carol” provide a wake-up call for Ebenezer Scrooge and turn him from his resentment, fear and isolation. Just as God’s presence was born anew into this world, we too can be born anew, woken up and redeemed into renewed life, joy, passion, generosity, humility and love.

2016 Dreaming of Decadence Fundraiser

Saturday, October 22
Doors open at 6:00 pm
Dinner begins at 6:30 pm

We “dream of decadent giving” to support our church’s mission and our community partner Westside Cares. A percentage of our proceeds this year will be donated to Westside Cares’ Capital Campaign. The theme for this year’s Dreaming of Decadence is “Alice In Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass.”  It will be a night of dreams, fantasy, and lots of fun.

Enjoy a catered dinner, music, games and the intrigue of transformation into Alice’s world through the rabbit hole. And, of course, the silent and live auctions will be the highlight of the evening. You may come dressed as one of your favorite characters (or not) and have your picture taken to remember the event. Beware of the Red Dress!
