God Bless Us–Every One:
The Redemption of Scrooge

An Advent/Christmas series based on Dicken’s A Christmas Carol
and Matt Rawle’s book, The Redemption of Scrooge

This Advent and Christmas series will take a look at our how living in God’s economy of grace and justice is the antithesis of the life-threatening addiction to money, success, exclusion and looking out for ourselves. The chimes of the clock-tower bells in Dicken’s classic “A Christmas Carol” provide a wake-up call for Ebenezer Scrooge and turn him from his resentment, fear and isolation. Just as God’s presence was born anew into this world, we too can be born anew, woken up and redeemed into renewed life, joy, passion, generosity, humility and love.

Give Me Open Hands & Open Doors

What does it mean to open our hands and the doors of our churches and our hearts to what God will do in our midst through the presence of the poor and outcast?

Open Hand

We continue our journey through Matthew West’s inspirational song this Sunday, November 6.  We pray to be truly opened in ways we have never imagined. What does it mean to open our hands and the doors of our churches and our hearts to what God will do in our midst through the presence of the poor and outcast? As our inspirational song says, “my own little world is not about me.” Join us Sunday at 10 am as we explore these questions:

What are we doing as a church that answers the call of God to create a better world?

What are we doing personally that answers the call of God to create a better world?

Worship Series: Resurrection Stories

Is resurrection possible in our lives? We can be in need of “rising up and out” of the depths of imprisonment of addiction, illness–not just physically and literally, but also spiritually.

What holds us back from the joy of life?

What binds us, keeping us from the fullness of who God created us to be?

What keeps us down?

Join us for powerful testimonies – Resurrection Stories – from those who have found “resurrection” in their lives. It might just inspire you to “rise up” and seek the place of your own resurrection.
