Exciting Times for the New Year

With the Christmas season behind us the New Year is on the horizon.  Even though, 2014 will be a year of change, it is also the year that Pikes Peak Metropolitan Community Church celebrates 35 years in the Pikes Peak region.  Along with celebrating our 35th anniversary as a church we will have many events and activities planned for the upcoming year.  At our staff retreat this summer we scheduled this coming year’s activities and events from snow tubing to the arts.  We are hoping to have something for everyone this year.

On Sunday, January 26, 2014 our church is planning its annual Ministry Fair.  At this Ministry Fair I will have a table set up for our Event Committee.  Please visit this table if you are interested in organizing next year’s events, which will include the 35^th Anniversary of PPMCC, and of course our largest fundraiser every year, “Dreaming of Decadence”.  Once we have our team in place we will meet at my house to brainstorm and distribute each event amongst our team members.  This get-together will be held on January 11, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, at 1110 Valkenburg Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

If you are interested in helping us plan this year’s events, but not able to attend this get-together please let me know, and I will include you on the Event Committee’s distribution list for further meeting notifications.

I am very excited and hopeful for the New Year.  So, if you are interested in snow tubing, bowling, Easter egg hunts, picnics, baseball games or hiking in our beautiful mountains, please come join us in fellowship and fun as we plan our 2014 events.  This process has always been fun and a great opportunity for fellowship as we get to know each other on a deeper level.  So come with all of your gifts and ideas to unfold an awesome New Year in 2014!
