We Are Branching Out In Faith

Branching Out In Faith Logo PPMCC - leaf

In 1999, the members and friends of Pikes Peak MCC had the vision to purchase our building on 21st Street for $525,000 to ground and center our ministry. Four members each committed $50,000 as collateral for the original building loan. For over 20 years our presence on 21st Street has been a critical sanctuary for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

We now owe less than $65,000 on the building. We are very close to owning it outright and being debt-free. Without the burden of monthly mortgage payments, we could invest the congregation’s gifts to grow our ministry both within our walls and the larger community.

I pray that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,
as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

Ephesians 3:17

This verse from Ephesians has grounded Pikes Peak MCC’s ministry for the past several years.

Our identities begin and end in God’s love for us, and we celebrate the diversity of gender identities and sexual orientations God created.

We are rooted and grounded in God’s love.

Our ministries are rooted and grounded in God’s love.

We are called to share that love with more people who need inclusive and nonjudgmental community.

I am the vine, and you are the branches.
Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit.

John 15:5

It is time to branch out and share the message of God’s unconditional love with those far beyond the walls of our building.

With God’s help, we can reach untold numbers of people who have yet to experience the love and community we have come to know through Pikes Peak MCC.

The isolation of the pandemic revealed how much we need community and connection. Many people found us online during the months of lockdown.

God has offered us an opportunity to branch out in faith to meet this moment when so many seek the community we offer.

We are called to Branch Out In Faith to:

    • grow our online community,
    • pay off the remaining mortgage on our building,
    • invest in community outreach, and
    • develop our ministries for children and youth.

From January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024, we encourage you to make a commitment toward the Branching Out In Faith OneFund Campaign. All gifts received during these months will go toward funding these goals in addition to our current operating expenses.

Please prayerfully consider what you feel called to give in support of Pikes Peak MCC’s Branching Out In Faith Campaign.

Please email me with any questions you might have.

Branching Out In Faith with you,
Rev. Alycia Erickson
