To Be Securing Items for Our Next PPMCC Fundraiser
For all of you who have assisted our PPMCC fundraisers in the past like our Bring It Bash or Online Auction, we need your assistance once again. It is time to start thinking of items, services, etc., that you may want to create, make a personal gift certificate, or have an existing business provide a donated item or gift certificate/card for our next fundraising efforts.
Richard Owens and I took a class at a sign making studio in Colorado Springs, and we made two inspirational wall signs that we are going to donate for the next PPMCC fundraiser (see picture below — us at the studio with our finished projects). We want to encourage others in our congregation to plan projects individually as well as get a friend, family member or a group of congregation members to make items as well. It always helps to have others for inspiration and to know what people are interested in bidding on for a gift for themselves or someone else in their life.
I would like to get a list together of larger ticket items that you know you or your family may be spending money on this year to see if we would be able to have some of those items donated. This approach to securing donations will allow you to be able to get the item/s that you need as well as abundantly support the church in its ministry. Popular items donated in the past have been:
- vacation stays at resorts
- repair person services
- homemade meals with our Pastor
- aromatherapy packages
- a set of tires
- exercise equipment
- handmade crafts/jewelry
- food and restaurant gift cards
- Dungeons and Dragons lessons from a Dungeon Master
- haircuts and coloring packages
- haircare product gift baskets
…just to name a few. Please be creative in developing your lists as possible; we may not be aware of something you are interested in.
You can text me your list of items at (719) 205-0359. Please include your name and any helpful information in the text such as item name, item number, color, place/s it is available, date you want to have it in your possession, and anything else that might be helpful. Once I compile a list of all suggested items, it will allow people working to secure donations for our fundraising efforts to know that the items we request a donation for we will have people interested in bidding on.
Thank you so much for all your help with this endeavor! We know it will make for a wonderfully successful fundraiser for PPMCC in this New Year.
My best to you always, Julia Wedemeyer, M.A.
